Gold, person to person: sell yours, or buy from someone near you

Coins, bars and jewellery, each listed with its purchase invoice and checked by us first. You meet the seller at a jeweller who can test it, and your payment waits in escrow until you've seen the piece.

No gold for sale right now. Check back — or list yours below.

How it works

  1. The seller lists the piece with its invoice. We check the invoice and the hallmark before it goes live.
  2. You pay into escrow. Above ₹2 lakh, both of you give your PAN.
  3. You agree a place and time — a jeweller who can test the purity, or a busy public place.
  4. You meet. If the piece matches, you confirm and the seller is paid. If it doesn't, don't take it: report it within 24 hours and you're refunded.

Sell your gold

Listing is free. You're paid when the buyer confirms the piece at the meet, less Vendeye's 1% commission.

Questions

How do I know the gold is real?

Every listing has its purchase invoice and its HUID — the 6-character hallmark code BIS gives each hallmarked piece — and we check both before it goes live. You can look the HUID up yourself in BIS's CARE app. Meet at a jeweller and have the purity tested before you confirm.

Where do we meet?

Somewhere you both agree: a jeweller who can test the purity, or a busy public place. Never at someone's home.

When is the seller paid?

Only after you meet and confirm the piece matches the listing. If it doesn't, report it within 24 hours of the meet and don't take it — you're refunded to your Vendeye wallet.

Why do you ask for PAN?

Above ₹2 lakh, the income-tax rules require PAN from both sides of a sale. It's stored encrypted and never shown to the other side.

What does selling cost?

1% of the price, taken when you're paid. Listing is free.
